About UnPLUG Pittsburgh

UnPLUG Pittsburgh came from an idea that a "recovering" digital addict, former corporate digital marketing guru and now life coach, Holly Maust had.

"With Pittsburgh being one of the top tech hubs in the country, I noticed whenever I went to a restaurant, for a walk, at an event, my daughter's school functions - everywhere I turned, people were on their phones and not engaging with each other."

Seeing this on the horizon as a community and knowing that teenagers are at risk, made Holly create the Digital Wellness digital detox program and most recently launch UnPLUG Pittsburgh with the National Day of Unplugging. Her hope is that March 9-10 is the spark for our Pittsburgh community to relook at how we consume social media, email and use devices.
